Purpose-built for Brother machines, MaggieFrame magnetic hoops and HoopTalent hoop stations support Brother home models (SE/PE/NV, Innov-ís, Stellaire XE/XJ, Luminaire XP1–XP3, e.g., PE800/PE900, SE1900) and the PR line (PRS100/VR, PR600–680W, PR1000/PR1050X/PR1055X). Strong magnets stabilize fabric to reduce puckering and hoop marks across tees, hoodies, knits, denim, and pockets/sleeves.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:Which Brother models are compatible with MaggieFrame magnetic hoops?
A:Covers the PR multi-needle series (PR600/655/670E/680W/1000E/1050X/1055X, etc.), the PRS100/VR single-needle free-arm models, and many home embroidery machines (XP/Luminaire series XP1/XP2/XP3; Stellaire XE/XJ series; NQ/VE/VM/V series, etc.). Please refer to the Compatibility / Compatible Models list on each product page.

Q:What’s the difference between “inner diameter” and “embroidery area”?
A:To allow for clearance and machine travel, the embroidery area is usually slightly smaller than the inner diameter (typical difference about 15 mm / 0.6 in; varies slightly by machine model). Choose your hoop by the embroidery area to match your design size and prevent the needle from striking the hoop if the design overflows.

Q:For different Brother models, can I reuse the same hoop body by only swapping the metal brackets?
A:Metal brackets are closely tied to Hoop Length. Within the same series and with the same Hoop Length, you can usually reuse the hoop body by swapping the metal brackets. If you’re crossing lengths or machine systems (e.g., PR ↔ PRS/VR ↔ home-use machines), you’ll need the corresponding hoop body and brackets.

Q:What hoop length should I choose for Brother PR vs PRS100/VR?
A:PR multi-needle models usually use 502 mm (19.75"); PRS100/VR uses 484 mm (19"). When ordering, select the Hoop Length option on the product page that matches your machine.

Q:Do magnetic hoops need outer-hoop screw adjustment like traditional hoops?
A:No. The magnets clamp and self-adjust to the fabric thickness, so there’s no need to tighten any outer-hoop screws—hooping is faster and easier.

Q:How do Brother Hooping Fixtures work with the Hoop Station and magnetic hoops?
A:Use the fixtures together with the Hoop Station and the 5.1" or 6.9" magnetic hoop; the rear magnetic flaps secure the stabilizer for accurate, repeatable hooping.

Q: Why is the stitchable area smaller than the labeled inside dimension? Which value should I size by?
A: Due to mechanical clearances and safety offsets, the stitchable area is usually slightly smaller than the inside dimension (typically by about 15 mm / 0.6"). For reliability, size your hoop/design by the stitchable area.

Q: When stitching jacket backs, towels, or other large home items, can extra-large hoops be used with the hoop station?
A:It’s not recommended to use 17" × 15.5"-class hoops with the Brother-specific hoop station due to limited clamping clearance and fabric travel.

Q: Will magnetic hoops leave hoop burn (marks)?
A:Magnetic hoops apply more even pressure and typically reduce the risk of hoop burn (marks); for delicate fabrics, place a thin cloth or an anti-slip pad between the fabric and the hoop.

Q:What is a hoop station used for?
A:It secures the placement, significantly improves repeat alignment and batch production efficiency, and makes positioning on chest, sleeves, and kids’ garments faster and more precise.
