Product Description

The Metal Belt Embroidery Hoop is purpose-built for narrow, elongated materials—delivering clean alignment, fast hooping, and quick repeat stitching. Whether you are personalizing belts, webbing, bag straps, or dog collars, this rigid metal frame provides straight-edge support for extended text runs. Its slim profile and quick clamp bars lock narrow items securely in place, ensuring your designs stitch perfectly centered and true with no slipping or skewed text.

1. Ideal Applications Optimized for narrow materials up to 65 mm (2.6") wide, this versatile frame handles cotton, nylon, polyester webbing, edging tape, and thin soft leather. It is highly recommended for:

  • 🐶 Pet Accessories: Dog collars, pet harnesses, and leash straps.

  • 👕 Uniforms & Identification: Uniform name tapes and ID tapes.

2. Key Features & Advantages

  • Precise Placement & Repeats: Dual side rulers and engraved center marks ensure long names and logos stay perfectly aligned from start to finish.

  • Rock-Solid Stability: Rigid metal brackets with quick clamp bars provide a firm hold, minimizing fabric shift and puckering on sashes and delicate ribbons. Fine details and small lettering stitch crisp and consistent.

  • Reduces Hoop Burn: The slim, rigid metal profile drastically reduces hoop burn and distortion on stiff webbing compared to traditional plastic frames.

  • Fast Drop-In Installation: Slides directly onto your machine's tubular arms in seconds, reducing downtime and improving overall stitching efficiency.

3. Specifications & Materials

  • Model BH-200: Embroidery Area 65 × 200 mm (2.6" × 7.8")

  • Recommended Materials: Webbing, leather belts, nylon, cotton canvas, and satin ribbon. (Tip: Use a tear-away or adhesive stabilizer for thick webbing and lower the machine speed appropriately).

6. Pro Tips & FAQ

What is the correct way to hoop narrow materials with this frame?
First, place the bottom frame on a stable surface and align your stabilizer. Next, lay the belt, webbing, or ribbon evenly across it. Finally, secure the top metal bar and tighten the screws gently. Let the frame’s tension hold the material firmly for straight, centered stitching on your ZSK Sprint or Racer machine.

Should I place the stabilizer directly inside the hoop or float it?
For most embroidery work, sandwich the stabilizer together with your strap inside the hoop to ensure better edge tension. Floating the stabilizer beneath the bottom frame also works well for extra-thick materials or padded belts.

Does the hoop size refer to the outer frame or the embroidery area?
The listed size always indicates the inner embroidery field. For example, a 65 × 200 mm hoop means your actual stitchable area is about that size. Always leave about 0.3" (7 mm) clearance on all sides to avoid needle collisions.

How is this different from a magnetic hoop?
A magnetic hoop clamps fabric with magnets, which is excellent for large, flat pieces. The metal belt hoop uses rigid bars uniquely shaped to support narrow straps and cylindrical items. This system keeps long stitches straighter and significantly reduces shifting or puckering on webbing.
