Description
BN925MK 8.2" x 15.7" Magnetic Embroidery Hoop for Bernina
Hoop larger embroidery projects faster with a spacious metal magnetic frame and individually removable bar magnets.
The BN925MK provides an embroidery area of 8.2" × 15.7", making it suitable for large designs, quilt blocks, jacket backs, towels, home décor and other projects that require more working space.
It includes 10 long bar magnets and 2 short bar magnets. The longer magnets provide broad support along the fabric edges, while the two shorter magnets offer more flexible placement in smaller areas.
Unlike a traditional screw hoop, the fabric and stabilizer are secured directly against the metal frame with magnets. Individual magnets can be lifted and repositioned without completely removing and re-hooping the project.

Why Choose the BN925MK?
Wide Support for Large Projects
The 10 long magnets cover broad sections of the frame, helping support fabric along the extended 15.7-inch embroidery area.
The two shorter magnets can be positioned where more targeted support is needed.
Faster Screw-Free Hooping
There is no tension screw to adjust and no rigid inner hoop to press into place. Position the stabilizer and fabric, add the magnets and make local adjustments as required.
Easy Individual Adjustment
If one section of fabric needs repositioning, remove only the magnet closest to that area. The other magnets continue holding the remaining fabric in place.
Suitable for Large Embroidery Designs
The 8.2" × 15.7" embroidery area is suitable for:
- Jacket-back designs
- Large quilt blocks
- Towels
- Sweatshirts
- Table runners
- Home décor panels
- Bags and fabric panels
- Large names and monograms
- Multi-element embroidery layouts
Helps Reduce Hoop Impressions
Because the fabric is held against the frame instead of tightly compressed between two traditional hoop rings, the magnetic system can help reduce visible pressure marks on textured or delicate materials.
Soft-Coated Metal Base
The metal frame features a soft flocked surface that helps improve fabric grip, reduce sliding and protect the material from direct contact with bare metal.

FAQ
1. How is this magnetic hoop different from a traditional embroidery hoop?
A traditional hoop clamps fabric between two rigid frames and normally requires tension adjustment with a screw.
The BN925MK uses removable magnets to secure the fabric and stabilizer against a metal base. It is quicker to set up and allows one fabric section to be adjusted without completely re-hooping the project.
2. What is the benefit of using long and short bar magnets together?
The 10 long magnets provide wider support along the edges of large projects.
The two shorter magnets can be positioned in smaller spaces or areas where more focused holding is needed. This combination provides broad coverage while maintaining some placement flexibility.
3. How does it compare with the DIME Snap Hoop Monster?
Both products use a magnetic system with a metal base frame.
Many Snap Hoop Monster models use a one-piece upper magnetic frame. The BN925MK uses 12 separate bar magnets, allowing individual magnets to be removed or repositioned without lifting the complete upper frame.
The separate magnets can also be arranged around seams, pockets and uneven areas.
4. How does it differ from magnetic frames with fixed magnet positions?
Fixed-position magnetic frames limit the magnets to predetermined locations.
The BN925MK magnets can be positioned separately on suitable sections of the metal base. This allows the layout to be adjusted according to the fabric shape, design area and raised sections.
All magnets must remain outside the active stitching path.
5. Can I embroider a design larger than the 8.2" × 15.7" area?
A larger design must first be divided into multiple accurately registered sections using suitable embroidery software.
The removable magnets can make repositioning easier, but accurate registration marks and careful alignment are still required. The frame does not increase the maximum embroidery area supported by the machine.
6. Do I still need a smaller hoop?
A hoop size close to the embroidery design generally provides better fabric support.
The BN925MK is intended for large designs. For small logos or monograms, a smaller hoop may hold the fabric closer to the stitching area and reduce unnecessary movement in the center.
Using several hoop sizes also lets you choose the most efficient frame for each project.
7. Is this hoop useful for a home embroidery business?
It can be especially useful for users producing large personalized items, quilt blocks, towels, sweatshirts and jacket-back designs.
The screw-free setup and individual magnet adjustment may reduce preparation and repositioning time. Actual time savings depend on the material, design and production process.
8. What should I do if my machine does not recognize the frame?
Make sure the attachment bracket is fully connected to the embroidery module.
Then:
- Remove and reinstall the frame.
- Restart the machine if necessary.
- Select an appropriate supported hoop size or embroidery area.
- Follow the machine manual for third-party or custom-frame operation.
- Trace the complete design boundary before stitching.
Do not start embroidery until safe clearance has been confirmed.
9. Can I use it for irregularly shaped items?
Yes. The individual magnets can be positioned around seams, pockets, curved edges and other uneven areas.
For items such as bibs, bags or garments, float the embroidery area over an appropriate stabilizer and keep straps, handles and excess fabric away from the needle and moving carriage.
10. What material thickness can the magnets hold?
As a general reference, many fabric and stabilizer combinations around 2–3 mm thick can be held securely.
Actual performance depends on fabric density, raised seams, stabilizer thickness and magnet placement. Test the setup before embroidering a valuable or finished item.
11. How should I clean the frame and magnets?
Remove lint and thread with a soft brush, lint roller or a short burst of compressed air.
Wipe the frame and magnet covers with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, then dry them completely. Do not soak the frame or use sharp metal cleaning tools.
12. How should the hoop be stored?
Store the frame flat in a clean, dry indoor location.
Keep the magnets attached to the frame or separated with suitable protective spacing. Avoid excessive heat, moisture, dropping and strong impact.
13. Is a usage guide available?
Yes. A magnetic hoop usage guide can be provided or linked on the product page.
The guide should cover grid alignment, fabric positioning, magnet placement, frame installation, embroidery-area checking, cleaning and safety.
Customers should also follow the original Bernina machine manual.
