FAQs

Q: Will this embroidery hoop fit my Baby Lock machine?

A: This embroidery hoop is compatible with Baby Lock machines that use the matching Hoop Length. Select the correct "Machine model" option when ordering, and the hoop will mount and run like your original hoop. You can also measure the arm spacing of your machine and compare it with our specifications. If uncertain, contact our support team before ordering to ensure proper compatibility.

Q: What is the inside hoop size and the effective embroidery area?

A: The inside hoop size is 6″x8″(150x200mm). To avoid stitching too close to the frame edge (and reduce the risk of needle strikes), the effective embroidery area is typically about 2 cm (0.8") smaller than the inside size.

Q: Do you offer other hoop sizes? How do I choose the right size?

A: Yes. We offer 8 hoop sizes (3.9"×3.9" to 7.7″x12.5″).
How to choose:
1. Make sure the hoop’s inside size is within your machine’s max embroidery area (or your largest original hoop).
2. Take your design size and add 2 cm (≈0.8") to both width and height, then choose the next hoop size up for comfortable clearance.

Q: Why should I choose this magnetic frame over a traditional screw hoop?

A: The MaggieFrame magnetic hoop offers a much shorter learning curve and faster production. Its snap-and-go operation eliminates the need for screw adjustment. This design reduces errors, minimizes fabric damage, and allows you to hoop items quickly—even thick garments or small delicate items (like ties or socks) that need to be floated on top of the frame.

Q: My machine only accepts certain hoop sizes—will this hoop still work?

A: In most cases, yes. If you can’t select an exact hoop size, choose the closest preset size and use Trace/Outline to confirm the needle path stays within the safe area. Trace is the most reliable way to prevent stitching into the frame when presets don’t match perfectly.
