Description
9.5" x 14" Magnetic Embroidery Hoop for Brother
Make hooping faster and easier with this 240 x 355 mm magnetic embroidery hoop for select Brother embroidery machines.
The hoop uses multiple round magnets that can be positioned individually around the embroidery area. This flexible design makes it easy to adjust fabric tension, add extra holding power where needed, and avoid raised seams, zippers, pockets or other uneven areas.
It is suitable for towels, denim, quilts, sweatshirts, knits, baby bibs and other projects that can be difficult to secure with a traditional embroidery hoop.
Hoop size: 240 x 355 mm / approximately 9.5 x 14 inches
Compatible brand: Select Brother embroidery machines
Magnet type: Individually positioned round magnets

Why Choose This Magnetic Embroidery Hoop?
Flexible Round Magnet Placement
Each round magnet can be placed independently around the embroidery area. Add more magnets where extra support is needed or reposition individual magnets without disturbing the rest of the project.
Fast, Screw-Free Hooping
There are no screws to tighten and no rigid upper frame to press into place. Simply position the stabilizer and fabric on the frame, then secure them with the round magnets.
Easy Fabric Adjustment
When one section of fabric needs repositioning, lift the nearest magnet, smooth the fabric and place the magnet back. There is no need to remove the entire upper frame or restart the hooping process.
Ideal for Uneven Projects
The individual round magnets can be positioned around:
- Raised seams
- Zippers
- Pockets
- Curved edges
- Thick fabric sections
- Straps and irregular shapes
This makes the hoop especially useful for bibs, garments, bags and other projects with uneven surfaces.
Helps Reduce Hoop Marks
The magnetic design holds fabric without clamping it tightly between two rigid frames. This can help reduce visible pressure marks on textured or delicate materials.

What's Included
Your package includes:
- 1 × Magnetic Embroidery Hoop (240 x 355 mm / 9.5" x 14")
- 12 × Round Magnets
- 1 × Grid Template
The included grid template helps with positioning and alignment.

How to Use the Magnetic Embroidery Hoop
Step 1: Mark the Embroidery Center
Mark the center point and direction of the embroidery area on the fabric with a removable fabric marker.
Step 2: Position the Stabilizer and Fabric
Place the stabilizer over the metal frame, followed by the fabric. Align the marked center with the grid template or frame reference marks.
Step 3: Add the Round Magnets
Place the round magnets around the embroidery area to secure the stabilizer and fabric.
Add extra magnets near areas that need more support, while keeping every magnet outside the needle and embroidery path.
Step 4: Adjust the Fabric
Lift and reposition individual magnets until the fabric is smooth and evenly supported. Avoid excessively stretching the fabric.
Step 5: Attach the Hoop to the Machine
Insert the frame fully into the machine carriage and make sure it is securely attached.
Use the machine’s tracing or outline-checking function before beginning embroidery.
Product Features
Individually Positioned Round Magnets
The separate round magnets can be arranged according to the fabric shape and embroidery area. This allows more control than a fixed one-piece upper frame.
Targeted Holding Power
Place additional magnets near fabric edges or areas that need extra support. The magnet layout can be adjusted for different projects.
Easy Repositioning
Only remove the magnet closest to the area that needs adjustment. The remaining magnets can continue holding the rest of the fabric in place.
Soft-Coated Metal Frame
The solid metal base frame has a soft surface coating that helps:
- Reduce fabric movement
- Protect fabric from direct contact with metal
- Improve grip during embroidery
- Make the frame more comfortable to handle
Suitable for Large Projects
The 240 x 355 mm frame provides space for larger embroidery designs, quilt blocks, towels, sweatshirts and other larger project pieces.
FAQs
What is the advantage of round magnets?
Round magnets can be positioned individually according to the shape of the project. They are useful for adding support to specific areas and avoiding seams, zippers or raised surfaces.
Are round magnets easy to adjust?
Yes. You can lift and reposition one magnet at a time without removing all the other magnets or completely re-hooping the fabric.
Is this hoop suitable for thick fabrics?
It can be used with many common embroidery materials, including towels, denim, sweatshirts and quilted fabrics.
Actual performance depends on the combined thickness of the fabric and stabilizer. Test the setup before embroidering valuable or finished items.
Can I use it for baby bibs or irregularly shaped items?
Yes. Round magnets can be positioned around curved edges, straps and thicker sections. Keep all loose material safely outside the stitching and carriage movement area.
Can the magnets be placed anywhere on the frame?
The magnets can be positioned flexibly on the metal base frame, but they must remain outside the embroidery path.
Always use the machine’s tracing function to confirm that the needle and presser foot will not contact a magnet or the frame.
Do I still need a smaller hoop?
The most suitable hoop size is usually close to the size of the embroidery design.
A large hoop is useful for larger projects, while a smaller hoop may provide better support for small designs because the magnets can be positioned closer to the stitching area.
Does the hoop completely prevent puckering and hoop marks?
The magnetic design can help reduce fabric compression, excessive stretching and visible hoop marks. However, the final result also depends on the stabilizer, needle, thread tension, fabric type, design density and magnet placement.
What should I do if the machine does not recognize the hoop?
Make sure the frame is fully inserted and securely connected to the carriage.
Then restart the machine, select a supported embroidery area and use the tracing function to check the design position. Do not begin stitching if the needle path could contact the frame or any magnet.
